I have noticed that latest Raymond Feist books are considerably delayed
from release downunder. Importing them is expensive.

Does anyone know how long it normally takes from initial release in
America to Australia and New Zealand? Anyone else, experiencing these
delays? Is there a website with release schedule of forthcoming books
for different markets/countries?

Thanks...

Actually, you get them first along with the UK. The US market gets them
about six months later.

Oh, I wish that were true!

The forthcoming novel "Exile's Return - Conclave of Shadows, Book 3" is 40%
more expensive (nearly NZ$60) than regular paperback book prices and can
only be imported.

As for the second book, "King of Foxes - Conclave of Shadows, Book 2" is
still unavailable, despite being released in America, last year!<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Where in NZ are you?

The hardcover and paperback you get is the UK export edition, which for
this series is released ahead of the US edition.

Exile's Return in hardcover and King of Foxes in paperback are shipping
in the US later this month. They hardcover of Return has been out in
NZ since last November. Paperback is out in a month or two I believe.

And, from the price, it looks like you're talking about the "limp"
edition, i.e. large format paperback, i.e. the same size as the
hardcover but with a paper cover. The mass market edition comes out a
good six months after that.

In any event, trust me when I tell you, you get them in New Zealand at
the same time the British do.

Actually it is true for Australia (can't say for sure for NZ).

This "forthcoming" book has been out for quite a few months in
Aus. Again, can't speak for NZ. When I asked about this book here,
REF replied with a date for UK / Aus release and I got it within about
2 days of the date he mentioned (nice call by the way Ray).

Been out for years. Try Amazon.au or one of the online Aussie
book stores.
