I'm toying with the idea of buying an ebook reader, and note that there
seems to be a full range of diskworld books available on the
http://www.diesel-ebooks.com/ site.

Does anyone have experience in reading ebooks? Any preferred maker?

I use the Bookeen Cybook, nd am very happy with it. It sems to me to me
the best value available.

Buy it for the basic price, but with the extra godies of leather case
and 2GB SD card from store DeleteThis @naebllc.com

$375!! *choke*

I've got a Palm M130 and read ebooks from Project Gutenberg on that. But for
Terry's books I use paper versions.

Maybe I'm just cheap.
Mind you, only $7 for an e-diskworld book I could read in the dark? I might
just try Diesel...

Yes, the reduced price of e-books is one reason why I'm exploring.
Another major reason is Diesel already have Making Money, and I could
download it right now. I think it will take weeks before this book
reaches Tasmania, and it will be $40 dollars or so when it does.

I also like the look of CyBook, and it's the one I'm most likely to buy
- and from NAEB.

Can't really help on the e-book issue, but note that if searching
whatever sites/repositories for material to purchase and download (and
not using Terry's name) it's "Discworld" with a 'c'.

(While I mean this in all good faith, I can't help feeling that I'm
going to be looking pedantic for pointing this out. And probably end up
having been afflicted by the Pedant's Curse in the process. Wink

In this case I would think you are absolved as you are warning about the
greatest pedant of them all - Computers.
Google Discworld = of about 2,610,000 for Discworld
Google Diskworld = of about 47,000 for Diskworld
Of the latter is is clear many refer to Disks as in Records and their
descendants. Google does its best to be be helpful in suggesting you
may have meant the former. Amazon also seems to catch k and feed you c.
