The Dorothy Sayers/Guinness Connection

Did Dorothy Sayers really have something to do with a Guinness Stout
ad campaign?

I couldn't find anything on Snopes (www.snopes.com) about it.

However, I did a Google search and all I could find was this page:
http://www.gpi.org/glasstalk_archives/2002/glassAugust02.htm

The page is called Glass Talk, and it has the following quote:

"In the 1930s, copywriter Dorothy Sayers (best known for the Lord
Peter Wirnsey crime novels) coined the advertizing line "Guinness is
Good for You!" and the famous Irish stout was dispensed to invalids
and nursing mothers."

I'm uncertain of the veracity of this info, so I was wondering if any
of you good folks could either confirm it or debunk it.

She definitely worked at the agency (Benson's) that handled Guinness, and
worked with that account. (This is sound history from her biographies and
her letters.) I'm not sure of the actual coining of the slogan. She
apparently invented the toucan that was used in Guinness advertisements,
and wrote (it's claimed) the jingle,

If he can say as you can, Guinness is good for you;
how grand to be a Toucan, just think what Toucan do.

tes.htm with a picture of the toucan.
Hey, it's the Anglican diocese of Durham, they can't be making it up!
Also, <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.thetoucan.co.uk/Toucan/guinness/Guinness_Menu.htm" target="_blank">http://www.thetoucan.co.uk/Toucan/guinness/Guinness_Menu.htm</a>

She also promoted Colman's Mustard and thought up the Mustard Club. Last
year at the DLS Society's annual convention we sang the club's official
song.

Forgot to note:
That site implies that the slogan "Guinness is good for you" predates
Sayers's work on the account.

Thanks for the references!

Yeah, I found the Toucan advertisement attributed to Dorothy Sayers,
already, which was written to replace a more "offensive" Pelican
advertisement:

A wonderful bird is the pelican
Its bill can hold more than its belly can
It can hold in its beak
Enough for a week
I simply don’t know how the hell he can.

With all due respect to Ms. Sayers, I like the pelican version better.
