Keep it off-group, Rockhill. Your comments are off-topic.

Well done Nomis. Sound man. Sad that folk have tried to manipulate you onto
their side, but that's what this site is all about: childhood regression,
territorial fights in the playground.
I *tried* to leave - but Roden rushed out a post with an outrageous
allegation that needed refuting. Say, you don't think he did it deliberately
to keep me here do you....?
(Really, really, REALLY wanting to get shot of this incestuous, small press
gossip factory.)
Remember fellas, keep it on-topic. No nasty gossip, no nasty allegations, no
blatant plugs - just ghostly chat, pure and simple.

I let "The Outsider" quote fall by the wayside without comment awhile back
but this I cannot. Truly LOL material from a man pushed over the edge.
Thanks Jim!
Excellent post! Finally a voice of reason!

As sure as you are of how to spell 'just deserts' possibly?
The Kersh family name was Kershenblatt, and was anglicized by Kersh's father
when he began living in England. Gerald Kersh's birth certificate confirms
that 'Gerald Kersh' is NOT a pseudonym. He did use several pseudonyms, or
was anonymous, in some of his writings; but that's altogether different from
what you are claiming.
How is your book inscribed. Karmesin, perhaps? Would you know the
difference?

Funny how sites like rec.collecting.books which you "wouldn't wipe
your shoe with," and alt.ghost.fiction that you deride above, suddenly
become so wonderful again when you have a publication to hawk
around...

Here are some well-known pseudonyms used by Gerald Kersh:
Piers England
Waldo Kellar
George Chickery
Joe Twist
George Munday
No doubt one of these is inscribed on a Kersh book or letter that you
have seen and you are assuming that it is his real name. Wrong!
If this is the best you can do, then it casts doubt on the rest of
your Haunted River editorial research too.

As you have proved, Barker.
No blatant plugs. Yeah, right. Dream on.
Quoth the Haunted Rivet:
>>>On topic-plug:
"Controversial 18pp essay which spotlights M.R. James' two darkest
secrets,
followed by the 6 page story from 1888 which served as the
never-before
revealed template for James' classic ghost story The Ash-tree.
We sift through the biographical and fictional
evidence to arrive at a startling new conclusion."
Details at:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.users.waitrose.com/~hauntedriver/small%20press.htm" target="_blank">http://www.users.waitrose.com/~hauntedriver/small%20press.htm</a>>>>>
Ghostly chat - pure and simple?
Pederasty, pure and simple . . . .
From one of your earlier postings:
<<May it
turn round and bite you on the arse one day, the same arse that you
invite
everyone to kiss.>>
Ah, yes, now I begin to see where your interests lie.
What a sad, sick character you are, Barker.

You seemed remarkably sure of your facts, Mr B. Yet now you seem remarkably
quiet. Nothing more to say on Kersh? I'm intrigued to know you how your
'signed' edition is signed. Mine (a pristine copy of FOWLER'S END in d/j)
just has a simple inscription 'To Evelyn - Love Kersh', and so does the
signed typed copy of his poem 'A Soldier - His Prayer', which was included
with the book when I obtained it. How does yours differ?
