Dysfunction at Amazon.com

Does anyone know what the hell is going on with Amazon.com?

The book-selling section of their massive website has been dysfunctional (in
one way or another) for months now. First, the book reviews disappeared for
weeks. Second, their Search Inside the Book feature became totally
unreliable. Hardcover and softcover editions of the same book, which
formerly shared the same Search-Inside-the-Book data, are now separated and
partially unusable. On Monday, November 8th, the entire website was down for
hours. When it returned, the three million books on Amazon lost their
product descriptions and editorial reviews. Two days later, all product
descriptions and editorial reviews are still missing.

Does anyone know what's occurring at Amazon?
