Can't be any worse. Okay, I'm making this up because I don't read the
book so I really can't say.

He's picking up the reins for CC, yes, though who knows what will
happend to CC's mix of titles in the future. Since workload was one
of the contributing factors to his ailment, I wouldn't be surprised to
see it cut back...

Didn't Chamber lose his powers? Heck, even his Runaways appearances
were an imposter.

Chamber not only lost his powers, he was put in some kind of stasis
so that he wouldn't die. And was handed over by the X-Men in the first
issue of Generation M.

Though it isn't like characters aren't getting repowered left and
right... Iceman never really lost his powers. Quicksilver got new
powers from the Terragen Mist. Sunfire got both his powers and
new legs from Apocalypse. ******* got repowered by Apocalypse. Gazer
got new powers from Apocalypse. The list will likely only get longer
as time passes.

Well, it's certainly a last minute change. But Claremont could be out
of circulation for a while, unfortunately, so at the very least I'd be
braced for a string of fill-ins.
