by Mark Vonnegut, Kurt Jr.'s son.

I started reading this once upon a time and promptly lost the book. Dismal.
It's a real life story about Mark's battles with Skitzophrenia.He's a pretty
good writer. Not in the style of his father so much, but an entertaining
read none the less.

Has anyone read it, care to comment?

Read it a few years ago, found it to be a good read. Unique insight into the
mind of someone battling mental illness. And well written, too, I thought. Has
Dr. Mark written anything else that anyone can remember?

It was definitely of the period. Hippies, back to nature, communes, the Draft,
War, etc. Interesting reading by a very insightful young man.

Whatever his diagnosis turned out to be, it wasn't schizophrenia. Mark is now
a medical doctor and a brilliant one (and, rumor has always had it, a helluva
good person).

Thanks for the update, bob. Tell me: do you know if he ever goes back to his
home in Powell Lake, BC?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
