Description: Confessions of a Crap Artist, the first mainstream (not
science fiction) novel by Philip K. Dick to be published, was
published in 1975 by a small press in a hardcover edition of 500
copies with no dust jacket. This is one of those copies, in very good
condition. The publisher was Entwhistle Books, a partnership between
David Hartwell and Paul Williams. The seller of this copy is
Williams, who also wrote a 6-page introduction to the book, which he
will sign and inscribe if the buyer requests. PKD was very proud of
this novel, and it was a breakthrough for him to get the first of his
experimental mainstream novels into print. A very hard to find Dick
first edition (with a signed introduction if you wish).
