I wouldn't get too excited if I were you. When people started celebrating
on the X-Fan boards, Claremont pretty much implied that Rachel would not be
in the title.

tell me you're kidding...that has been one of the worst things austen
has done so far...that and angel's healing powers that came out of
nowhere...but i'm sure he'll still have time to screw up the
characters more and then he'll move to another x book and screw up
some different characters

Well, to my mind there's no chemistry. I can see why Paige like's him -
he's a gorgeous hunk of man-flesh, after all. And well, I can see why Angel
might be attracted to her. But love? Nah. It just don't click! Maybe
it's a just a sexual thing that'll wear off about... oooh.... about when

Ironically, the fact that he's changed her brother into a winged angel type
actually makes sense of her attraction to him. It's really common for people
to be attracted to partners who resemble their siblings. Something about
celular ego, the more like your siblings your partners are, the more likely
your off-spring is going to be similar to you and your family. I remember
seeing a friend's girlfriend and sister sitting side-by-side and they were
freakily similar in appearance.

how are healing powers for a guy with wings logical...unless you're
talking biblical...and when had we seen this before austen's run? to
me, secondary mutations only make since when they are extentions of
the power they already have and beast is the only one who's had one of
these so far...warren with healing powers and emma frost able to turn
into diamond are lame and completely out of know where...fortunately,
that's one of my only complaints for morrison's run but austen's run
has been terrible...the only things he's done that i liked were
bringing in juggernaut and havok

I think they click more than any since Candy Southern. Warren's recent
statements definitely rule out the "just a sexual thing."
