I just read the interview with Aaron Lopresti at uncannyxmen.net and
finally those mutant allies of Unus are given a name: the blue guy is
called Lightning Rod, the red girl is Glamour and the green mutant is
called Caiman.
But, although the serie is called Excalibur, I'm still wondering if
Xavier's Genoshan team is now official called Excalibur or is just as
nameless as Unus' gang.
Oh and does anybody know if Archangel changed his codename back to Angel?
Because in every Marvel solicitation I read on the internet they only
speak about Angel, and they don't mean the Xavier Institute student girl
with the same name.
However, I begin to like the serie Excalibur and I can't wait to see
what will happen with Dark Beast, Magneto and Scarlet Witch.

I remember reading back when the series was first announced that
Claremont had some plan about how he was going to gradually use some of
the themes in the classic Excalibur legend and apply them here to
Xavier and Co.

In regards to the actual team name..........there's not really a team,
is there? Just an association of Genoshan residents...

He is referred to as Angel now. I recall this occured in Uncanny, while
Morrison was using the new girl Angel in New X-Men.

Nice to see Dark Beast again. Been a long time, so it's nice to see
anyone use him again...even Claremont!

And seeing which AoA reject bought it in Excalibur #10, I'm real glad
to see him... ;p

which makes absolute perfect sense. what better time to go back to using an
old codename than the exact moment someone else shows up in the same place
with the same name?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

He did...? I remember Austen saying he preferred the original name in an
interview, but I don't recall the character ever going back to it in the book.

He didn't. Warren is constantly referred to as Archangel throughout
Austen's run. If Warren has gone back to Angel, then it's something
that happened after Austen or something that hasn't happened yet.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
