Post subject: Regarding FAQs.
Archived from groups: alt>books>ghost-fiction (more info?)

Whilst the self-appointed milk-monitors are busily preparing their
ludicrous new schoolyard Chris Barker FAQ I wonder whether anyone has
had the courtesy to defer to Mr William Allison, the father of this
very site? I fail to see how any new self-important FAQ could hope to
succeed without his public endorsement. Unless of course the Rodens
intend to stake ownership of this domain too? My, what a portfolio
they are building. What's next? A takeover bid for John Lewis, so as
to close my website down?

In the meantime, may I tentatively suggest a working title for this
eagerly awaited document?

THE BARKER WITCH PROJECT (Pitchforkin' Yokel Version)

I confidently predict that this exercise will blow up quite
spectacularly in the faces of those who are perpetrating this
ill-fated coup. The timing is impeccable e.g. coincidental to my
querying the undemocratic nature of the Ghost Story Society.
Wonderful. I couldn't have scripted it any better if I'd tried.
