Yes, as has already been said: A True Gryffindor could pull it out of
the hat in Times of Great Need. But don't feel bad for having missed
that detail, Jesse didn't even get that it WAS the sword.

Yes, I could have done with a couple less chapters of aimless wandering
about the countryside. If I'd have been Ron, I'd have left too! LOL

Besides the interview, she's all but promised to write an Encyclopedia,
with all the characters' backstories and what happened after Voldemort's
Death. With proceeds going to Charity, like with the schoolbooks. She
says it's basically already written- someone just needs to take her 17
yrs worth of notes and organize them into Encyclopedia form. Every
single one of the students in Harry's year has a full characterization
and backstory, even if they'd never gotten a mention in the books.

I wasn't sure. I thought it might have been exactly that, but it could
have been something else.

AMEN! I can't wait for that scene in the movie!

I was amazed at truly how close to the Merlin/Gandalf character she kept
Dumbledore, right down to the secretive plotting and using the Hero in
not always very nice ways, all for "The Greater Good." He didn't want
Harry to die, and was happy that he didn't, but he was definitely raised
as a weapon to be sacrificed.
My only other real complaint is that I wish we'd seen more of Ginny.
Yes, he had to end up with her- she was the first Girl we saw in the
book, and a redhead too (*GGG*) I like that, even though a lot of people
don't. But for 7 books now, I waited for her to be really brought into
the story as a real character, other than just a mind-controlled would
be murderess, and that never happened.
I also liked the way she had Dudley come around, some, in the book. I
started crying right then, and that was pretty much the way the rest of
the book went. Although, as I've seen stated in other discussions,
Dobby's death was terrible, but it was much more effecting than
Mad-Eye's, Tonks', Lupin's, or even Fred's! Which seems a little sad. I
always loved Fred and George, and it's strange that his death was done
so--- lightly, I guess. I know, it was the middle of battle, but it
seems those deaths should have been more moving than they were. We don't
even know HOW Tonks and Lupin were killed.
