OK, I am confused, I just finished Exiles Return and the teaser implies
the book picks up in Flight of the Nighthawks, but the blurb on
Amazon.com says:

"In it eventual arch-mage Pug (see Exile's Return, 2005) is much
younger, his vast powers are still forming, and he hasn't yet acquired
the array of family ties that will make him so wonderfully human later
on. Right now he is trying to contend with evil sorcery and win the
tolerance, if not allegiance, of the emperor. Reinforcing him are two
fugitive farm boys, Tad and Zane, and their mentor, Caleb, whose aid
proves invaluable as all three youngsters mature, the farm boys with the
additional help of another mage's daughters."

So, is it in the past, or does it start where Exile's Return left off??

That's Amazon's screw up. It picks up right after Exlie's Return. The
only "younger magician" in it is Magnus.

Best, R.E.F.

Ah, thank you Sir! After reading that cliffhanger ending of Exile's
Return, then reading what they wrote on Amazon I was afraid I would have
to wait several books to find out what happened!

Thank you again,

This is funny. I never ever read the stuff they put under those book, I just
preordered the newest Feist as soon as it was available. Now I did read a
bit of that stuff and have to say it really is nonsense and has nothing to
do with the content of the books.

Regards

It mostly starts where Exile's left off but has a bit of back-story too.
