Frank Sinatra "All Or Nothing At All" Hardcover Edition Book
I have for sale the out-of-print, hardcover edition book "All Or Nothing At
All" (A Life Of Frank Sinatra) by Donald Clarke (1997). The edition
contains 323 pages of text as well as vintage black and white photographs
of Sinatra with Harry James, Tommy Dorsey, Ava Gardner, Bing Crosby, Nat
"King" Cole, Perry Como, Gene Kelly, and many more, profiling the life of
singing legend Frank Sinatra.
Front Jacket Excerpt:
"Frank Sinatra is acknowledged as the best interpreter of the best American
songs. When he sang "Everything happens to me" in 1941, he was every young
man facing a Saturday night wondering will I be drafted? Who'll give me a
job? And most importantly, who wants to go to the movies with me tonight?
So he was a great singer. But how did he become the most famous man in the
world? His contradictions (bad temper and kindness, poor taste and exquisite
judgement, misogynist and great lover) cannot be that uncommon: how did a
kid from a working-class immagrant family in Hoboken become the most widely
recognized name and face of our times?
For Frank Sinatra, as for the rest of us, liberation brought the danger of
loneliness. Yet, Sinatra, like the rest of us, was willing to gamble on
"All Or Nothing At All".
The Frank Sinatra "All Or Nothing At All" hardcover edition book is in MINT
