Greetings.
Most people here are probably familiar with CDDB and freedb.org, which are
publically-accessible databases of music CDs. You insert a CD into your
computer and your CD player program automatically retrieves the title,
artist, and track information from the Internet.
Does any similar service exist for books and periodicals? It would be
mighty convenient to simply type in a book's title or ISBN/ISSN (or better
yet, use a barcode reader) and receive a complete BibTeX record.
Regards,
Tristan
