Compare it! In Colombia, for the freed Colombian hostages, their
relatives and the press, it was free and easy, anything goes, as they
came off the plane back to their people, with every unfettered
opportunity to express their joy, gratitude and relief.

But here? What we got going on here? Where is freedom? Where is
joy? Where are the freed U.S. hostages? They are still being kept
hostage by their own government because in the view of this
government, they can not be trusted in their liberty and their
citizenship as free American citizens.

This contrast should shame every proper, liberty-loving American to
death! Had I been among those men, after all those years of
captivity, would I not have had my fist up, daring any tight-assed,
lily-livered sonofabitch to just go ahead and try to stand between me
and my country, my people, my wife and my right to come forward to the
press and express my joy, no different than Ingrid Betancourt?

I would certainly hope that my patriotism should be at least that
strong, to have been able to say, "Get out of my way, or else. I'm
going home to shout and cry and dance and shoot off some rockets for
the 4th and July--just you try and stop me! Or in short take your
concerns about security and stick them straight up your tight fascist
Unamerican asses."

What? Here? Are you here in Cheshire? Would you like a cup of tea?

Indeed, it is a disgrace. Here is the quote from CNN news,
and they don't even reflect on the shame of it:

-------------------------
Marc Gonsalves, Thomas Howes and Keith Stansell arrived
there late Wednesday on an Air Force C-17 to undergo a
battery of medical tests and debriefings.

All three are U.S. government contractors who were captured
by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, in
February 2003 when their plane crashed in a remote region of
the country.

They will begin reuniting with their families Thursday.
--------------------------

America seems to be losing its values, probably because it
is governed by Republicans who can't stop saying the phrase
"family values" because they do not believe in them. As the
old saying goes, "The more he kept talking about his
honesty, the faster we counted the silverware."
