Up for auction is a hardcover copy of "Gardening For Pleasure" from 1886, by
Peter Henderson, & published by O. Judd Co. New York. I believe it is a
first edition as I can find no reference to previous editions. The book is
250 pages in length (with the index) & has an ad page for "Gardening For
Profit" on one side & "Practical Floriculture" on the reverse side (both by
Henderson). A Guide To The Amateur In The Fruit, Vegetable, & Flower Garden,
With Full Directions For The Greenhouse, Conservatory, & Window Garden". The
book has illustrations throughout. The book is hunter green in color & with
gilt lettering & design. The book is structually solid, clean, and
attractive but with a little edge wear & a small tear to the cover at the
top of the spine. Shipping is $3.95 to $5.40 for USPS Priority (depending on
where you live) or $2.34 for snail mail shipping if a USA shipment.
Insurance is extra & delivery confirmation for the media mail option is
$0.13 extra (USA shipment only). Lots can be combined to save on shipping.
