| The End Of Eternity paperback page 34: Technician Andrew Harlan is
teaching Cub Cooper Primitive History. At one point Harlan thinks to
himself "(If Cooper could have brought himself to make advances, Harlan
might not have known how to respond.)". Since the Eternals didn't have
regular access to women, did many of them resort to homosexuality?

Asimov said in his autobiography that he found naked men to be
repellant. >> Stay informed about: Gays In Asimov Books |

Oh, well. That's it then. Stright as a pin.
Case closed.

In fact, this drives the plot of one of the Foundation stories: a
Foundationer who originally fought against the Mule has been conditioned to
become one of the Mule's top lieutenants, but reverts to hating him when a
Second Foundationer removes the conditioning. >> Stay informed about: Gays In Asimov Books |

It's a clear picture of a male who had no idea how to attract women, fell in
love with the first pretty girl that would pay any attention to him at all,
and eventually figured out what parts of his personality worked for him
(becoming a celebrity didn't hurt there, either.) Classic nerd, in other
words. There's no need for any more elabortate hypotheses. >> Stay informed about: Gays In Asimov Books |

Simple, non-sexual, *social* advances, along the lines of "Do you wanna
go down the pub for a beer when we get this done, mate?"
Harlan was under-socialised, even for an Eternal.
Cheers,

Not on the record so far. Poster apparently has an agenda to get
everyone we've ever heard of (particularly conservatives) out of the
closet; whether they were ever there or not. >> Stay informed about: Gays In Asimov Books |

I do not provide detailed reading lists to unfriendly responders. Those
who prefer to remain in ignorance are welcome to do so. I will however
direct you to a web site: <A

you started.
Also check out Sherman Skolnick on NIxon. >> Stay informed about: Gays In Asimov Books |

Sounds like a pseudo-intellectual way of saying, "No, I don't have any
proof." >> Stay informed about: Gays In Asimov Books |
