MYDOOM spammers have gone too far. Today they're sending it out under the
faked address'tom@larryniven.org'

When we find 'em I suggest we use that warhead treaty maker on them. And pull
BOTH triggers.

That means that he, or someone with his email address in their Outlook
Express address book, got their machine compromised.

Actually they've apparently got random name generators at domain names. I'm
getting dozens of mydooms a day, and getting bounces from other people that are
supposedly getting them from me, all with different "one-first-name@domain.com"
addresses - none of which are valid, or the names of anybody that ever worked
here, so they shouldn't have come out of anybody's address book. Grrr.

Yep I can verify that. Each domain I administer is getting about 100 hits
an hour to random single firstnames e.g. bob@ anne@

Interesting they have not tried to hit admin@ postmaster@ I guess they
think that these people are too knowledgeable to bother with as they never
open e-mail any way.

Yeah. Nothing to those, or webmaster, or human resources. Just random first
names.

There isn't a tom RemoveThis @larryniven.org address set up, it doesn't exist.

A good example of how MyDoom corrupts email addresses and hostnames.

I got "Admin@com.com" as a From: address... Pretty obviously fake, though.
