Typewriter ribbons!
The grandkids found the 'printer' and have a blast typing on it. It has
been well over 15 years since it needed a new ribbon, and Staples still
carries them.
Now we need to convince the first-grader that he can actually make words
on it; I bet his teacher would get a kick out of a typed homework.
Or maybe his younger brother, who already knows his letters, will start
using it for real; I won't have to worry about the typewriter crashing -
no windoze!!

But it can still have "Sticky Keys"

No trees were killed in the sending of this email. However, a very

Too true.
Today the grand-monsters were both here. Big Brother fell asleep in my
lap watching a Godzilla movie [therefore he was not watching you ]
Little Brother fell asleep at the keyboard of said typewriter.

Heh, my younger sibs and I used to play with dad's office typewriter
for years. Don't know when he 'up-graded', though he still has it, as
he brouht it home when my younger sister and I had to start filling
out college apps.

Mine is a Smith Corona Mark VII. I'm not sure when I bought it, but I
think it was before 1989; I got it to type resumes and that was when I
was last typing them, versus using the computer.
