She spent her childhood in Berlin and, since 1984, has lived in
Provence.
Since 1968, she has been nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen
Award for Illustration three times.

There was a half-hour film short about her(?) in 1989, but I can't
find any details. (Her name was the title.)
