Bread already almost failed to get cooking properly. (And it was
my "always works" recipe, too.) Ah, well. Butter warming up for
chocolate chip cookies. :>

Thank you.

Had ham, turkey, rolls, etc. when I got home from work, and will take
some to work tomorrow.

And Saturday I go can card hunting for the exchange.

At the office we had a really nice pot-luck lunch. Three departments
(Help Desk, application developers, and desktop provisioning/support (my
corner of the floor) took a couple of hours out and got together in
the HD training room. The groups see each other on a daily basis,
but it's nice to be able to stop and chat with them from time to time.

Another staffer also brought chocococolate cookies this year, but
apparently I'm still able to convince people that I really shouldn't
take very many home (they have a habit of finding their way onto
the bathroom scale all too quickly if I take them back to the house.)
I like to think that people take them because of the way I add fruit
flavors to the cookies, but for whatever reason there were only a
half-dozen or so remaining to tempt me. I gave in after resisting
them for ... oh, maybe ten minutes.

It seems some nameless individual went through the fridge last
evening and cleaned the cookies out... dunno how that could have
happened...

Yes. And he is responsible for most of the depletion of the bowl
of nuts and a great deal of disappearing turkey and cranberry
sauce. Also, I believe there was a half-loaf of homemade bread in
the fridge when I left yesterday morning that I haven't seen since.

But I cannot honestly blame him for the cookies...

Oh, very true!

Ok, I *can* blame him for eating the (cough, cough) cookies.

Even though he was out walking the dog at the time they were
eaten. :>
