Post subject: Which Hard- and Software?

Hi there!

Does anyone know what kind of hard-/software Raymond uses for writing?
I was wondering if he uses a PC, Mac,oldschool typewriter or memopad? Smile

It would be interesting to hear which kind of software is used by a
professional
author and if he had any bigger data losses through crashes in the past,
which (almost)
ruined his work.

I use a Mac (currently both a Dual-Core Intel Xeon Mac Pro and a MacBook
Pro laptop). I run Word (only because WordPerfect decided not to
migrate to OS X) as a necessary evil because my publishers use it on
their PC's. I've had only minor data losses because I back up a bunch.

Shortly after I had sent my message I had the idea to view the header of one
of your messages:

"MT-NewsWatcher/3.5.2 (Intel Mac OS X)"

Is there a Word-Template called midkemia-book.dot? Smile

No. Publishing requires a pretty old fashioned formating, basically
looking like the page was typed on an old IBM Selectric. 1" margins, 12
pt. Courier, and a header. So I have the header on a macro.
