1) Storm, by John Byrne: Before she went all Grace Jones under later
artists, Byrne really emphasized her lush, exotic feminity...

2) Psylocke, by Jim Lee: At least before he started phoning it in and
letting his Studio take care of the real work, Lee's literal revision
of Psylocke was smoking! The purple hair worked better as an accent
than it ever had on British Betsy...

3) Rogue, by Jim Lee: Thinking here principally of Savage Land Rogue,
the version that deserves her own series if any version of Rogue does.
The long hair, the barely-there outfit...

4) Shadowcat, by Alan Davis: Kitty is normally more *cute* than hot,
but Davis' artistic alchemy can work its magic on *anyone*...It
probably didn't hurt that he gave her a bust enhancement that came out
of nowhere and has since returned there...

5) Mirage, by Art Adams: OK, it was only two issues, but DAMN, Adams
made an impression! Actually, his Magick was pretty enticing, too...So
was Karma...hmmm...

Those are my Top Five! Who are yours?

Dex,
who was going to exclude Kitty just to piss out Emerald Samurai, but to
hell with it...^^

Frank Quitely drawing Emma Frost, who obviously has stock in a company that
makes double-sided tape.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Isn't the hottest X-Woman, pretty much by definition, Magma? Of course,
if you include the Exiles alternate universe types, there's sunfire for
competition. (and Frankie Raye would be in the competition)

I totally agree with you about Storm, she had a great look
as well as Psylocke
but Kitty (and Jubilee) are skanks and Rogue is simply untouchable.

but no list can be complete with Jean Grey as done by anyone. There is
something about Marvel and redheads that can't be beat.

Cerise by Alan Davis. She was innocent but still capable with a
Stranger In a Strange Land/tourist learning new things attitude that was
fun. I wish Alan could have done more with her. She got ruined by
later writers with all that shiar criminal crap.

Tessa. I sure wish my desktop pc looked like that Wink

1. Storm... and it really doesn't much matter by whom.
2. Jean by just about anyone other than Quitely.
3. Psylocke by Alan Davis (I'm partial to pre-Asian Psylocke, but he
still draws her better than anyone else, imo)
4. Kitty by almost anyone.
5. Sage by Larroca.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

My vote goes for Rachel's 80s look. That girl makes short cropped hair look
good.

3. Beast, pre-fur: Hairy-chested (and armed) football player...and he's

Danskins? You talking about the leotard or the Hound outfit?

She dose pull off the FBI look pretty well, bit I had a serious thing for
the Hound suit.

Until people recently started pointing it out, I honestly didn't
realize how far back Claremont's use of BnD imagery went...

I think fans should be carefull about what conclusions they make about
a creator from their work.
Using BnD imagery is hardly exclusive to Claremonte. You also cannot
ignore the input the artist or other sources.
But most of keep in mind that that same BnD imagery is very popular
with the customers. and sales is the biggest determining factor of all.
Its just as likely the creator knows what the customer wants and is
giving it to them.
Should we conclude that the creator of Hannibal Lector is also a cannibal?
A person can enjoy murder mysteries and horror stories and still be
perfectly normal and law abiding.
So there should be more proof before jumping to conclusions otherwise
its slander.

as it is, I'm still trying to forget what John Byrne had done to Susan
Richards ;P
