First of all, I hope this is the right group for this kind of
question. If not I'd be happy to take suggestions as to better forums.

I bought a paperback in what I think-of as the "Tom Clancy Section" of
an airport bookshop maybe 2-3 years ago. These are the paperbacks,
usually claiming to be NYT Best Sellers, from authors who've written
multiple popular books in the same genre, usually with the same
protaginist.

The hero of this book was a thief/hacker who is generally a good guy,
but doesn't mind breaking the law for the greater good. In this book
he was helping out a twin whose sister was murdered. I don't remember
too many specifics of the story, but I believe it was you basic
"missing computer disc that both the bad guys and the government are
now after." The two scenes I remember are the hero getting a female
friends of his, who is a serious thief, to help break into a ritzy
condo and steal a safe, and a scene where the hero is trying to call
people, but the goverment is tracking his cellphone by helecopter so
he has to duck into a mall parking lot to get away.

And suggestions would be greatly appreaciated,
Sal
