what really shocked me was the totally revised ending... never saw that
coming, after all, it's Armand who makes David his comanion, not Lestat...
but that doesn't happen until QOTD.

What shocked me was

1. how they managed to remove every ounce of erotic energy the novel
contains from the screenplay

2. that they turned Armand into a man

3. how the second half of the movie (after they go to Paris) was so
boooooring I could barely pay attention

4. how the character of Lestat was ruined by Tom Cruise's "performance"
dragon

i think they whitewashed over that to not lose the non-ricean fans,
since most of the erotism was male-male.

i agree, very stupid... Antonio was in no way a pretty boy of 18/19...

I liked what he did, he could of done more, i dont think he pushed it
enuff, but he was LIGHTYEARS ahead of Stuart Townsend, at least Tom had
a clue and was going in the right direction.

I agree...I think the movie would have lost a huge part of its audience
had it been as erotically charged as the books. Sad but true.

Not to mention his stature and hair color were also way off... =\

Yes...Even though after I read the book (saw the IWTV movie first) I
felt that Tom stayed true to how Lestat felt during the time he spent
with Loius and Claudia. Stuart is hot as a vampire, but he is no Lestat.

I liked the IWTV movie. All the charactors were good. Armand was the only
charactor that did not have the "right look". Other than that I was happy
with it.

Wait a second. Armand makes Daniel a vampire in QOTD. I think Daniel was
dying with a brain tumor when Armand does this. Lestat makes David a
vampire in TOTBT. So, yes Lestat turns David in to a vampire. Bye for
now,
