QUESTION FOR JEFFREY CARVER FANS

I picked up a new copy of Jeffrey Carver's "Eternity's End" at a used book
sale.

It looks tasty.

Question: should I read other the "star rigger" novels before reading
"Eternity"? Or does it stand on its own and you don't need to read the books
in order?

Amazon usually says if a novel is part of a series, and it doesn't say so
for the "star rigger" series.
