That's a good short biography- although not a terribly happy one. Basically
he died of a brain haemorhage brought on by alcohol abuse.
The general address of the site is:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.charm.net/~brooklyn/LitKicks.html" target="_blank">http://www.charm.net/~brooklyn/LitKicks.html</a>
You can branch out from there to pretty well anywhere to do with the Beats.
Have a look. It's all interesting.

Thanks!
Myself love Kerouac, but I´ve only reading two books by Kerouac "on
the road" and "Dharma Bums" which I liked a lot. I think I like more
Burroughs and his book Queer than I liked "on the road" and Dharma
Bums." But didnt all the beats like Ginsberg and Burroughs drink a lot
of alcohol like Kerouac did, had he a big alcohol problem and that
hasnt Ginsberg and Burroughs? since ginsberg and Burroughs died in the
90s. Didnt Aids took Ginsberg life? What died Burroughs? the aged or
something else?
I love them all and I´m glade I find those guys who have change my
life.
cheers!

They certainly had major drug habits at various times, presumably drank
too, but Kerouac had a bigger drink problem than Ginsberg or Burroughs, and
he killed himself with booze.
I think if you keep reading, it's all there.

Yeah, Kerouac definately took to the booze, where Burroughs was more
the ardent junkie, and Ginsberg seems to've been mostly a weed man,
with acid doses when appropriate.

Kerouac didn't die of a brain hemmorage - he died when the small blood
vessels in his esophagus burst. This happens when your liver shuts down a
certain way and your blood pressure goes way up. This is called the
'classic drunkard's death.' My sister-in-law died that way. She was 45.
Kerouac was 48.
Ginsberg, Burroughs, Huncke, and Corso died in their 70s and 80s of
age-related problems. Ginsberg did not have AIDS.

In /Poet's Choice/, Ginsberg says (using more words): "Took two
buttons dried peyote, sat to typewriter in middle of friend's
living-room floor, wrote 'Howl, Part II'." The /form/ of the
statement indicates something of a routine.

I wrote a short piece on the last day of Kerouac recently, for a print
magazine... I'll look it up later, and post it here...
