Happy Birthday Johnny! I hope the rest of it was a little less
embarrassing than having your mother singing to you at work, in front
of the Boss and Boss-Boss.

I'm glad I have a while yet until *my* baby turns 21! Ishtar is 9 in
2 1/2 weeks and that's quite hard enough for me to deal with.

Happy Birthday to him. Here is some birthday fudge you can give him. My
oldest was 9 last month and my baby is almost 4 (wah!)

Amazed you let him live that long?
You can declare him officially to no longer be a
"terrible two year old".

Tell me about it. My kindergartener keeps reminding me that she's

My tiny premmie baby is currently looking at High Schools she wants to
go to! We're pretty much settled on one that will be a bit tricky to
get there (2 busses minimum) BUT has an excellent G&T programme.
She's going to sit the test for that one next year and if she passes
(I have no doubt that she will) then she gets to decide whether she
skips year 7 and goes straight to year 8 in 2007 or to defer entry for
a year.

There are closer High Schools but they either come with unacceptable
(to any of us, her included) religious aspects or are more
trade-oriented. No bad thing, but being trained to work in the Holden
car factory is not much help to a kid who plans on going into robotics
engineering and/or AI research.
