week, save for installation of the carpets. It's that close.

[17:45] <KK> Had a good holiday. Cameron was home for 10 days, and
managed not to crash any of the cars or "fix" my computer this time.
He even installed Mozilla Firefox for me.

[17:46] <KK> They'll be a neutral beige/oatmeal color throughout,
though there's tile on the ground floor and in the two baths, and
marmoleum in the kitchen.

[17:47] <KK> We had a 65 foot cherry picker here on Wednesday to
hopefully open up the chimney in the sitting room and put a second flue
in the one that has the one for the boiler.
[17:47] <KK> Failed in the first task, but succeeded in the second.
[17:47] <TheCatWhisperer> Linoleum that looks like marble?
[17:48] <KK> It's a super linoleum--not vinyl--that wears like mad, and
can look like marble. It's often used in supermarkets and hospitals
and schools and airports and such; very durable.

[17:49] <KK> We've also salvaged two of the original fireplace inserts
from the house, that were leaning in a corner in the derelict dining
room. They cleaned up beautifully.

[17:51] <Tika> our latest "kitten" (Neko) now weighs over 10 pounds...
and he's about 8 months old

[17:51] <Bynw> but Neko is more of a catten
[17:51] <Tika> true, he's a big boy
[17:51] <Tika> and I think I hear Marnin fussing at him
[17:52] <Tika> most likely for paws on the dining room table
[17:52] <KK> Our half-time catten is now about 3/4-time. Sasha is now
often to be found snoozing in the basket in the kitchen, next to the
radiator.

[17:52] <Tika> Neko is a teenager, testing his limits
[17:52] <KK> One of these days, we're going to find him upstairs on the
bed, having run the gauntlet past the dogs.

[17:53] <KK> A very pretty, sweet-natured cat; white with grey tiger
patches and a very fine muzzle--and a squeaky, raspy meow.
[17:54] <KK> The other critters do not like him, but he's persistent.
[17:54] <KK> and big.
[17:54] * Tika notes that Sedina was here not long ago at all
[17:54] <Tika> She may be going home soon!
[17:54] <KK> We think he's coming two. Gus and Tillie are coming
three, and Nicholas and Jessie are coming five.

[17:55] <Bynw> heard about the coaster gift too hehehe

[17:55] <KK> I take it, then, that the transplant is still holding its
own.

[17:55] <Tika> yep, she said hopefully next chat she will be back home
[17:55] <the_Bee> the cell transplant seems to be working. she also
told us about the kilt coaster you sent her
[17:56] <KK> I saw that in a shop in Edinburgh and knew I had to send
her one.

[17:56] <the_Bee> she left the sticker on his derriere formodesty's
sake
[17:57] <KK> They had place mats, too, but I figured the coaster would
travel better, and she could set a mug on it, or a glass or bottle of
water....or just drool on it.

of your computer over to someone else, and they can come in remotely,
and see what's on your screen, and fix whatever the problem is? It's
an XP feature, apparently.
