Hi all,
Long time no, er, type, I guess.
My delighted discovery of Childe Morgan at Borders last week prompted a
re-read of "ITKS" and I am now nearly finished (sadly) with "CM."
I was struck, repeatedly in both books, with the number of horribly
tragic events that seem to occur just before Twelfth Night! Holy cow,
that seems to have been a difficult time of year, especially in ITKS.
It got to the point where I would dread that time of year in either
book, simply afraid of another character coming to dire consequences.
Just my observation. Another thought I had: did anyone else find it
difficult to read of each birth of Donal's children, knowing-as we do
from having loved the prior books so much-the fate of each?

Hi Polly,
Welcome back. If you used to be Ayedrum, I remember you from days of
yore. =o) If not, well, welcome anyway. Yes things do seem to get a
little grim at the holidays in Gwynedd. Maybe they should all have gone
on a tropical vacation, instead. At least we know Brion and Nigel
survive!

Hey Melissa,
Yup, it's me again. I seem to fade in and out here - RL and all that. I
am greatly enjoying the reread of DR and DC, and have just begun the
very tattered HD (still awaiting that "author's cut").
Hey, when does the KK chat occur? Can I get to it from AOL IM? (That's
the only time I ever use AOL, is to chat!).
Thanks, and happy holidays,
Polly

Hi Polly,
You can't get to the KK chat via AOL IM. You either need to go to our
java page at http:www.deryni.net/chat/ or find an IRC client such as
mIRC and search for chat.psionics.net - once there, you would go to
#Deryni_Destinations. When KK visits, its usually on Sunday afternoons
about 5:00 pm CST
Hope to see you there!

Just to warn you ahead of time, Polly. KK's Chat appearances have been
highly sporadic for the past year.
