In one of his novels or autobiographical works, he describes the two
different types of writing styles -- one was called a "slasher," I believe
.... could the other have been a "basher"? I can't recall. One of them goes
quickly through a story, not worrying about typos and grammar until a draft
is complete. The other makes sure every line/paragraph is perfect before
moving on to the next.
I've paged through the books I have, but I've loaned a few out (including my
favorite, "Bluebeard") and not gotten them back yet. Does this ring a bell
with anyone, and, if so, could you please tell me where I can find the
discussion? It would be greatly appreciated.

It's on pg. 137 in "Timequake." Swoopers and bashers. Ignore the previous

I was going to guess "Fates Worse Than Death"... "Timequake" has a lot
of good stuff in it, in spite of it not being well-received. I read it
a 2nd time and liked it better the 2nd time around. >> Stay informed about: Looking for KV help |
