Post subject: Kerouac's Sister's House

I'll be traveling to Raleigh, NC this week-end, and would hate to be
that close to Rocky Mount and not be able to go by and see where Kerouac
wrote some of his best stuff. Would anyone know the address of Kerouac's
sister's house in Rocky Mount?

I believe Jack's sister lived in several different houses in Rocky Mount.
One was at 1311 Raleigh Road (1955-56).

John Dorfner has published a book with photographs of Nin's house, and of
Kerouac's haunts around Rocky Mount. Details can be found here:

Thank-you Dave,

Unfortunately, I'll need to have the book before Saturday morning. I
don't think even Amazon can get it to me that fast. I'll stop by a
Border's Books store after work tomorrow. I certainly appreciate the
very prompt reply, along with the information.
