I've noticed that you trim quotes (good) and don't quote the entire
article (would be bad).

But please _attribute_ your quotes. Without attributions, it is very
hard to follow discussions.

An example of an attribution is the first line of this article. Your
newsreader should produce this for you automatically.

Can't they shave those beards? Or better yet, hot-wax 'em?

Yes: by my count she was approximately 1322 sun-years old at "the
first rising of the moon"; adding to that 597 years for the First
Age, 3441 for the Second, and 3020 of the Third, yields an age of
8380 or so.

They come into our houses at night and hide our car keys.

They also confiscate one out of each pair of socks (never both).
Think how helpful it would be if *non*-matching socks
came into fashion!

Not so, Maglor, one of Feanor's sons survived as well, though his fate
after the end of the 1st age is uncertain.

Idril, Turgon's daughter was born in Valinor and also survived, though
again, her fate and Tuor's after they departed is uncertain, the
Silmarillion clearly implies however that they survived, and Tuor was
counted among the Noldor.

That for "royal" ones as far as I remember, as for others, surely among the
exiles of Gondolin and Nargothrond that gathered in Balar at the end of the
1st age were some who came from Valinor, though this is only speculation.
