Land Where Our Fathers Died
The Settlement of the Eastern Shores of North America 1607 - 1735
by Marion Starkey
Marion Starkey used many contemporary sources to discover much new and
exciting material for this account of the settling of the Eastern Shores
from 1607 to 1735. These were the colonies that would later become the
original thirteen states of the Union. Their settlers were men and women who
by any standards would be remarkable, forceful, and creative. Here their
characters are brought to life by extracts from diaries and letters which
fill in some of the gaps of familiar history.
