Leaving Cold Sassy
The Unfinished Sequel to Cold Sassy Tree
by Olive Ann Burns

It is 1918 and Cold Sassy, Georgia, has been renamed Progressive City,
Grandpa Blakeslee wouldn't have allowed it, but he's been dead for ten
years. Miss Love is till high-style and beautiful, though raising their son
alone. And Will Tweedy is twenty-five - about to fall in love with his own
wife-to-be and grappling with the changes time has wrought in his cherished
hometown. At the time of her death, Olive Ann burns had been working five
years on a sequel to her best-selling novel Cold Sassy TreeFifteen chapter's
are complete and Burns's notes for later scenes and chapters are included
here exactly as she wrote them. In addition, her editor, Katrina Kenison,
has drawn from her correspondence with the author to describe Burns's
intentions for the rest of the novel. Illustrated with B&W photos of the
Burns's relatives who were the models for the characters.

Ticknor & Fields, New York, 1992, 6th printing, 290 pages, 6" x 9 1/4", red
boards with brown cloth spine and gold lettering, dust jacket, blue
endpapers, illustrated.
