I don't think it's hard to see how three strains of a virus would have
some similar traits (thus making them the same virus, not three
different viruses), and a cure being developed that acted directly on
the common trait. Certainly makes sense in a comic-booky sci-fi kind
of way.
As believable as giant cockroaches who learn to look like people in
order to survive. >> Stay informed about: Legacy Virus question |

I suppose... but it would have been better if there were actual gods and
magic.

OK, he's the scenario. Hermes was pissed so, rather than heal, he sent
out a disease through his disciple, Stryfe. This was in response to all
the needless angst. He figured that there was too much of it, so he'd
give them something real to angst about. Naturally, Hermes targeted
various people, which explains the Douglock/Meggan findings of
infections being random. Finally, Colossus wised up and offered himself
up as a sacrifice to Hermes. Hermes, suitably impressed, ended the
Legacy Virus and cured any infected survivors. This was all done behind
the scenes because Hermes didn't want the Celestials to know that he was
so heavily involved in Earth affairs. Happy? (OK, I imagine not, but
oh well.) >> Stay informed about: Legacy Virus question |

It has to be an alternate version of Magik for her to have started out
as a man. But a team of transexual mutants could be amusing.
