You didn't say X-Men, you said Ex-Men.

"So, I'm an ex-man who was never a woman. And you're responsible?"
(from the best comic Scott Lobdell ever wrote)

I agree. Wink But those versions were a little too divergent from the ones
we knew. If they went to a world where everything was the same except that
there was no Fall of the Mutants or Legacy Virus, we might be closer to what
we had before. Smile

Question: The Exiles only travel through space, they do not travel through
time, right?
So having already made one appearance in the main MU, their next appearance
can't come before that?

Patrick

Couldn't possibly be true, they're obviously from different points in time
(Nocturne's from a future point, Morph is current or even past) and they've
not only travelled to current time 616, but also to the birth of the FF in
another reality.

For those not familiar, Marvel Riot #1, aka 'all the titles of the Age of
Apocalypse done right, and in just 22 pages'. Probably my favorite, after
the Abbott and Costello routine between Sinister and Nate from which the
above quote comes, is the scene where Paige makes her stand in the
children's gulag, proudly proclaiming that she isn't afraid because she's
part of a team that stands together, while we see Colossus, Kitty, and
Illyanna quietly tip-toeing out the door behind her.

Yes, but being called "Ex" (as in former) "Men" signifies something else
entirely.

I know the Exiles appeared during the Dark Phoenix Saga. Admittedly, it
was an alternate version of it and it's conceivable that in that
universe it didn't happen until "now" but it's not the feeling I got.
I'd say that the Exiles can travel through time but usually don't.

Mimic asked about this and the tallus told them they had not travelled into
a past.

That could be explained like the DC multiple Earths: Time moves differently
in different universes..which is why Spider-Girl is happening 'now' and not
16 years in the future.

Again, having already made one appearance in the main MU, can the Exiles
come to the mMU at a time before that first appearance? I mean time-travel
within a universe's timeline.

No, that was Raab. Never happened. Couldn't have happened in the mainstream
MU, actually.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Exactly, and besides that the bait-and-switch is a lot easier to buy than
some hokey "de-aging" crap. With Limbo's screwed up sense of time there's
no way to just undo what happened; your everyday causality loop just won't
stick there. It's like teflon-coated time.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
