Post subject: Tolkien's Letters

I have an early edition of Carpenter's collected letters
of Tolkien, and I'm wondering what additional value might
be in the more recent trade paper edition. I see they've added a
nice index, but were more letters added as well? (The
intro to the early edition solicits more letters from
private hands.)

No, the new edition has a generally improved index but no new letters.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
