Has anyone else in the UK readership of this group noticed some
similarities between the BBC TV series Life On Mars and The Bridge? It
can't just be me. Does anyone know if it's an acknowledged influence or
just a coincidence.
Stuff like the TV in the protagonists bedsit and the 'bad cop'
representing the barbaric(?) side of his personality make it seem like
more than coincidence.

"In a deep deep sleep,
of the innocent,
I am born again."

I noticed it almost right away; some other denizens of uk.media.tv.misc
got it as well.

It's been a while since I've read "The Bridge", but to be honest I don't
see any more than a superficial resemblance. Certainly all I see in common
is not original to "The Bridge".
