Lurker here, sometimes poster. Friends with The BEAST and Karen from
RMAS.

Anyway...just started Lisey's story and am finding it a bit of a tough
read as the style is a bit different than some other King books.
Will it get easier as I get used to it and will the story actually
move a bit more.

Thankee.....

Yes, I can only recommend that you keep going, it'll take up some more
speed.

Cheers

Michael,

I read it a few months ago, and though I ended up enjoying it more than
I thought I would after the first few chapters, it will never be in my
Top 10, nor probably my Top 20.
The colloquialisms and character oddities/quirks/etc just seemed forced
to me, mostly, and there were way too many of them. There was an awful
lot of repetition, both of chatter and of imagery, that I think
detracted from the main story. Also, there were a lot of different
stories crammed in there, and I think that while some of them were very
interesting, they may well have been better executed/presented in a
larger volume made up of smaller stories. If that makes any sense...
But yeah, it will get a little bit better as you go. Smile
