there is no such thing as 'dead' in comics these days

Hardly a significant problem, given that he's a comic book character and a
god.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Should Loki mess with the XMen again? |

He's dead enough not to be brought back in the X-Books. So, until we hear
otherwise, he's out of play.
But to answer the question, I'd prefer it if all of the Asgardians remained
dead.

You of all people know some dead X-characters don't come back ;P

Marvel Heroes killed him off. Why would the X-Office resurrect him?
Currently, the Heroes/Avengers division wants all the Asgardians to be dead.
And while that is subject to change, until it changes, Loki is dead and cannot
appear in the X-Men.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Should Loki mess with the XMen again? |

It's just a matter of time... as I've said to myself since 1988 or so...
Besides I still want an active Cypher personality within Warlock, we KNOW
he's got the damn memories, USE them!<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Should Loki mess with the XMen again? |

First someone would have to use Warlock! Maybe he can split himself,
and download Doug's memories into the new body..and use the body's
shapeshifting powers to take Doug's image...

Seeing as how the X-Men humiliated him during his tenure as King of
Asgard, I'd say that Loki is way overdue for an appearance in an X-Men
comic. So overdue, in fact, that it will never happen. Which is too
bad, seeing as I'd love to see a comic in which Loki changes the X-Men
into their codenames.
Cyclops with one eye.
Storm as a giant cloud.
Colossus as a fifty foot tall steel statue that can only speak Greek.
Shadowcat as a darkforce feline.
Mravel Girl as a three year old, with a "Buttons and Mindy"
characterization.
Bishop and White Queen as giant shess pieces.
Juggernaut would be changed into an elephant.
Wolverine, you get the picture.
Beast, Iceman and Angel would be the only unaffected X-Men.
The story would be crazy, but it would fit Loki's personality.

A definite point.

Again, something similar is used in the Jeremy Botroff fanfic "Journey of
the Sorceror", except it also throws in Rachel and a little trick with the
Phoenix Force that Jean once used on her sister...<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Should Loki mess with the XMen again? |

Same here. And I'd prefer that all magical characters stay as far away from
the X-Books as possible.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Should Loki mess with the XMen again? |
