For Sale:

London Institution. A CATALOGUE OF THE LIBRARY OF THE LONDON
INSTITUTION. London, printed by Richard Taylor and Co., 1813. An
early, perhaps the first, catalogue of the holdings of this library.
750 pp. It is in extremely perishable condition. The covers are gone.
Everything before p. 9 is gone. The rest is separated at p. 433. The
brown paper spine covering is in remnants only but the title survives
legibly somehow, although the remaining pieces stuck to the sewn spine
itself are in danger of flaking off at any time. The contents are not
numbered. They are listed alphabetically by author and there are about
15 entries per page. A valuable historical resource, needing care.
$75.00 U.S.
