Er, I stand to be corrected here, Cheers John, but I was always
under the impression, that unless it's absolutely necessary, it's
always a bit of a mistake, for a person to be seen to be in too
much of a hurry to explain themselves

It's redolent of approval seeking, insecurity, and placing altogether
too much importance in other people's opinions of us.
You get the picture, Cheers John ? Why should you feel any need to
explain yourself to your supposed inferiors ? No wonder other posters
are able to walk all over you. And have been for years by the looks
of things.
Anyway the first one or two lessons are free, Cheers John. But after
that, it's going to have to be private consultations, I'm afraid.
Your days of being regularly humiliated and having to explain
yourself, both on NewsGroups and elsewhere, are soon going to be
a thing of the past believe me.
