This is a lot of seven fantasy and science fiction stories. The books
are in viable condition, but old. I doubt if they would fetch much at
a second hand book store, but if you want quality reading material, I
think you will consider the investiment you make in these books to be
money well spent.

Castle Kidnapped - John DeChancie - cp $3.50 - 1989 - ISBN
0-441-09408-2
Enjoy this light adventure as residents discover the mystery and magic
of Castle Perilous. You will only get a taste of the 144,000
alternate worlds characters find themselves drawn to. But,
unfortunately, things never work as expected. After all, how often
have you seen dinosaurs playing golf?
======================================
The Man in the High Castle - Phillip K. Dick - cp $2.95 - 1962 - ISBN
0-425-08656-9
This Hugo winning story is based in a different 1962. The United
States is jointly occupied by Nazi Germany and Japan. A haunting
vision of a history as it could have been.
======================================
The Devil's Game - Poul Anderson - 1980 - cp $2.50 - ISBN
0-671-83689-7
The disembodied voice - "Call me Samuel" - guides Sunderland Haverner
to wealth. But now, he is directing him to gather severn others to a
plosh but remote location for - what?

The Paths of the Perambulator - Alan Dean Foster - 1985 - cp $3.50 -
ISBN 0-446-32679-8
This book has slight water damage, so if you planned on reselling it
you may not want it. However, if you want to enjoy an easy reading
fantasy story about a young man who found himself in another relm due
to a 'slight' misunderstanding (the wizard Clothahump - who is an
aging turtle - needed an engineer to fight the plated folks - but got
Meriweather, a law student working part time as a 'sanitation
engineer' instead) and has discovered his own talent for casting
spells as a Spellsinger. Powerful spells, but the quality of his
singing voice is reflected on the outcome of the spells he casts.
This is one book of several, and if you can possibly get the earlier
copies, you will enjoy this one that much more.
======================================
That hideous Strength - C.S. Lewis - 1946 (c) printed 1965 - cp $3.25
- ISBN 0-02-086920-7
The third of a classic trilogy published before and during World War
2, this book by the author of The Chronicles of Narnia is no
children's book. The central character is believed to be based on J.
R. R. Tolkien. My personal feeling about this book is that I enjoyed
it, but I needed something light hearted (like Melancholy Elephants or
The Paths of the Perambulator) afterword to recover from the dark
depression this book brought to me.
======================================
Melancholy Elephants - Spider Robinson - 1985 - cp $2.05 - ISBN
0-812-55231-8
If you've ever had a chance to visit Callhan's, no explaination is
needed. If not, then you owe yourself the chance to sit and enjoy
the, shall we say, unusual visitors to this most unusual tavern.
Warning, pun and games inside.
======================================
Best Short Stories of J.G. Ballard (from 1957 to 1978) - 1978 - cp
$7.95 - ISBN 0-03-045661-4
Published in 1978, this book contains 19 of Ballard's best short
stories - as timely today as when they were first written. Explore
with the author in these tales man and his relationships with nature
and technology. You will be amazed at his prophetic visions of a
computer-generated culture. Ballard is a fore-runnet and inspiration
to the cyberpunk novels of today.
