Post subject: Making of a Mystery Novel - "Abducted"
Archived from groups: alt>books>mysteries (more info?)

My mystery novel "Abducted" was released this week as a mass market
paperback from Dorchester. Abducted is about a young mother who sees
her child on a passing bus -- two years after the child was abducted
and declared dead. (An eerie echo of a recent, real-life news story
that just took place in Philadelphia!)

On my web site, I have a free "Making of Abducted" e-book for
downloading that illustrates the book's five-year journey from
concept to print. It's a "behind the scenes" scrapbook with earliest
notes, outlines, title brainstorming, the pitch letter to publishers,
editing feedback, and more.

Hopefully, it's a fun and interesting look at how a mystery novel
comes together over a long period of time.

If you check it out, I hope you'll let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Brian J Pinkerton
