Like most of Joss Whedon's ASM (except for Colossus' resurrection (sp?)
from what I can tell), her fate should be left as a dream or something
from a slightly different reality.

Or use One More Day/Brand New Day for something positive and wipe her BS
fate out.

I'd be OK with wiping out Whedon's run...I generally liked it but
nothing significant happened in it other than Colossus's return and
Kitty's farewell...and I would have much preferred Colossus stay dead
and Kitty stick around...she'd been gone from the x-books just as long
as he had even if she wasn't dead...I thought Colossus's death was a
good ending to his story...and he and Kitty had been over for
decades...I could have done without putting them back together...it
just seemed forced in light of everything that had happened with the
characters since they were originally together.

The way I look at it is "what'd we get from Whedon's run?"?

- The Breakworld, which I haven't liked since it was brought in.

- Ord. See above.

- SWORD. Has possibilities. Is anyone else using it in other books?

- Danger. Terrible.

- A story arc where Emma was controlled by Cassandra Nova that was
supposed to make the X-Men stronger (or so I thought I read), but had no
lasting effect other than to allow Cyclops to go visorless until
Giant-Sized ASM #1. And did I miss why he even put back on the visor?
Was it wearing off or something? Yes, I know no one else was gonna use
it, but I'm talking about within the context of the story.

- Colossus back. He was never dead.

- Kitty "merged" with some "bullet" fired from the breakworld. WTF?!

It also made Kitty strong enough to do whatever exactly she did to make
the bullet miss.

Or something. All we have is Reed's speculation, based on no evidence
whatsoever.

I'm sticking with the theory that we've already seen Kitty in her new
incarnation, though we haven't yet been told that's who she is or how she
got there.
