I hid from the evil thunderstorms today in my workshop today, and came
across MO on the TV to chatter away in the background. Not having seen the
movie in ages, i couldnt help but notice the name of the meteor that caused
all the problems in the afterword at the end of the movie. Rhea - M.
Weak as it is, does this warrant a tie to the DT series ? Punt me in the
arse is this has been hashed already. Just a roadsign i finally noticed on
some oddbird hidden highway.

No.

For real? That's pretty cool. Probably not highly significant, but cool
nonetheless.

There I was, minding my own business, when GMpartsguy said...

Hehehe!

I'm with Bev on this one. It more than likely doesn't mean anything, but its
a pretty funky coincidence Smile

King wanted Rhea Perlman to play the waitress in the diner but she refused
because she thought his movies were hack jobs. This was his way of getting
back at her.

The -.M was a red herring. Doug

I'm surprised it wasn't Star Wormwood, which is mentioned in "The Mist"
and played an important role in "Home Delivery." Could be that King
just digs the name.

Did you know, that in the Ukrainian language 'wormwood' is called
'Chernobyl'?

I found this website a while ago:
http://www.kiddofspeed.com/chapter1.html

It's made by a Ukrainian woman, who tells about her rides through the
disaster area of Chernobyl. It's pretty impressive, I think.

She also quotes these Bible verses from the book of revelations:

"REV 8:10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from
heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of
the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

REV 8:11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part
of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because
they were made bitter."

This sounds pretty ominous, once you know that Chernobyl is the
Ukrainian word for wormwood.
