Hi Matthew;
Well, I am mystiified as well. I found the site in some research
on the Internet (I am still chasing Dom Griffiths letters to Lewis),
and found a reference to this group's incarnation in Holland. All the
commands were in Dutch. Well, I just figgered that as CS Lewis was
basically writing mostly English (only one book of Latin letters that
I know of) and as a lot of Hollanders know English just fine, I was
getting English from English speaking peoples as well as Hollanders.
When i signed in, I signed in to a command named <aanmelden> which is
cognate to German <anmelden> and means: join. Well, lo and behold, i
now get all my commands in English. However, i am suspicious that
some Hollanders are pulling my leg--nah! Just a joke. But I honest
to goodness practiced aanmelden=joining to enter your company. I
forgive you for acting like Hollanders, i lived there once, and like
them all!
Just a joke, but there appears to be parralel sites to English Sites
from google in other languages.
