I recently discovered that I was wrong about when I dropped out here. I
remembered having trouble keeping up in 2001, so I thought that's when I
quit.
Not really. {half-smile} Apparently I'd started saving posts and letters
from about 2002. I have a lot from 2002, 2003, and 2004. I have a few from
2005, so that must have been the last time I tried to keep up.
{Smile} It's nice to know I couldn't make myself stay away from ABML as
long as I thought I had. Three years is quite bad enough! {SMILE}

You couldn't possibly have dropped out that early. I've a memory like
a wet noodle, and I don't know that I can remember anyone back that
far. But I remember you. ;>

You save posts?
(Guiltily trying to remember if I wrote anything I'll regret someday.)

I mostly save my own posts. That way, if Usenet loses them and I find
out, I have the option of trying again.
> (Guiltily trying to remember if I wrote anything I'll regret someday.)
I don't think I've saved any posts like that. {SMILE} I suppose I could
check.... {BIG SMILE}

Ah, the paranoia of a long-time Usenet resident...

No, no, quite all right, don't put yourself out...
(I'm sure all the incriminating evidence is in Google somewhere, anyway.)

My provider used to be... unreliable at getting messages out-of-state.
They'd appear at my alternate provider, and anyone in-state seemed able to
respond, but here on abml, that meant Victoreia. So I started saving posts
and CCing by email. At least I feel secure enough, I've stopped the latter.
{SMILE, wink}

{SMILE} Okay, tho it really wouldn't be any trouble. {BIG SMILE}

I suspect so. They started collecting and saving all the posts they got
long before I started saving my posts. {BIG SMILE, wink}

I know. It's frustrating being over two thousand miles from any place
out-of-state than I'm interested in visiting. The military installation at
Johnston Island just doesn't sound that appealing, and most atolls are
pretty small.... {lop-sided smile}

Especially these days! I've pretty much given up on getting to visit my
sister & nephews again before they graduate from high school......
(Can you believe Bryce is 10?!? And Ethan just turned seven!)

Bryce and Ethan are getting really big! {SMILE}
I hope that transportation gets easier again. I'm sure you'd like to see
them in the flesh, as well as in pictures. {SMILE}
